Camera Chip Crisis, Now victim Sony
Sony posted on their website that the advance order of the camera has been suspended. However, Sony has stated that it will not sell stocked cameras through its own sales center or organization for the time being.
"In the case of digital imaging products, the global shortage of semiconductor chips is delaying the purchase of parts," Sony said in a Wall Post post on its own website. So they are refraining from selling the cameras.
In the current years, due to the impact of the global Camera chip crisis, production of several products of Sony company has stopped. In November, Sony stopped selling a variety of cameras, as well as products from various categories of shotgun mic and PXW-Z camcorders.
Some other products, such as the HDR-CX680 camcorder, stopped selling in April. There aren't enough products available for sale right now, and so are the A9 series cameras. A7or2 cameras are also not available in online stores.
Technology site Verge says camera makers, like all other technology-based industries, have been hit by the chip crisis. The companies are not able to produce the devices as per the demand of the buyers. Due to a lack of equipment, the camera company Nikon has stopped offering the EH-7P with its AC adapter, along with the Z6 and Z8's two cameras.
If you want to buy the new EOS R3 camera, you may have to wait a long time, said Canon company, Fujifilm is also on the list of camera chip crisis.
The chips used in the camera are in crisis at the moment. The new series of cameras are currently off sale, which the camera companies are unable to meet, but the problem is expected to be resolved in a few days.
